Luethke Eight-Over Through Two Rounds; Tied For 32nd

FRESNO, Calif.- Freshman Laura Luethke carded a second-round 76 (+4) on Friday afternoon during the second day of competition at the NCAA Women's Golf Western Regional held in Las Cruces, N.M.
Luethke- who is competing in the event as an individual- matched Thursday's opening round total of 76, placing her in a seven-way tie for 32nd overall at 152 (76-76/+8).
Luethke shot even-par through the first nine holes, with the exception of bogeys on holes No. 2 and 9. She also bogeyed holes No. 13 and 18 through the final nine holes.
USC leads the team scoring with a two-day total of 595 (293-302), currently standing at +19. Tennessee is second at 601 (291-310/+25) while Georgia checks in third at 602 (296-306/+26).
California's Sophia Sheridan holds the individual lead with a 142 (69-73/-2) while Dewi Schreefel of USC is in second at 144 (73-71/even). Long Beach State's Kay Hoey, also playing as an individual, shot a second-round 71 and stands in third at 145 (74-71/+1).
Luethke, along with Hoey and Idaho's Renee Skidmore, are scheduled to tee off at 7:30 a.m. MST. Live scoring and results are available at www.golfstat.com.
