FRESNO, Calif.- With the 2005-06 season a little over a month away, the Fresno State women's basketball team will hold an open-gym tryout session for individuals interested in joining the team as walk-ons.

The tryouts will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 1:30 p.m. in the South Gym.

After a pair of exhibition contests, Fresno State opens the season on Friday, Nov. 18, at UC Irvine. Fresno State went 20-11 in 2004-05 while advancing to the postseason WNIT for the second time in three years. Last year's team became just the sixth squad in school history to win at least 20 games.
