| Fresno State running back Dwayne Wright has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 28. Wright repeats as the Athlete of the Week, having won the award last week for his performance against Idaho. Coming off of a week where he passed 1,000 yards on the season with a 155-yard game, Wright topped a seemingly unbreakable mark, crushing the school rushing mark by running for 295 yards, besting the old high of 252 sit in 1952 by Larry Willoughby. Wright's efforts helped the Bulldogs win their third consecutive game. This is the third time that Wright has won the award. Apart from the last two weeks, Wright was also honored for his work in the game against Nevada, the season opener for the Bulldogs. Also nominated this week were: Jenny Thigpin (Women's Basketball), Angela Wiggins (Volleyball), and Cassie Gilford (Volleyball). 2006-07 Archive |
