| Chantella Perera has been named the Toyota/www.gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of January 16. It is the third time she has been honored this season. Perera, a senior guard from Watirna, Australia, helped lead the Bulldogs to a perfect 2-0 week with wins over San Jose State and Hawai'i, averaging 20 points and 5.5 assists on the week. She had a particularly strong game against Hawai'i, playing the entire 45 minutes and scoring a career high 28 points on 8-19 shooting with six assists, five rebounds and three steals. In all, the Bulldogs improved to 10-7 overall and 3-1 in the WAC during the week. Also nominated this week: Anastasia Petukhova, (Women's Tennis), Eddie Miller (Men's Basketball).
