Fresno State Head Coach Pat Hill
"I have to give a lot of credit to Boise State. They are a very good football team. They were very opportunistic and they did not make many mistakes. They certainly did a good job stopping our running attack."
"There was no lack of effort by either team. Boise just did a better job of execution tonight and we had too many unforced errors. If you're going to win this league you have to go through Boise State. I think we are closing the gap but we are not there yet."
"Our kids play hard. This team is resilient. We'll bounce back. We just have to worry about getting better. We still have a lot of football to play. It was a good turnout tonight. The fans were great. I just wish we could have given them something really special. It is tough to come into Bulldog Stadium and get a win. You have to give a lot of credit to Boise State. It is great for our community to have a nationally televised game."
Fresno State linebacker Marcus Riley
"I don't know if it was one specific play or one specific touchdown. After they got their last touchdown it put them in the driver's seat. Until that point I thought we were battling with them pretty good. It was frustrating they got so many third downs but they were able to make the plays."
Fresno State quarterback Tom Brandstater
"They were able to contain our running game and that put a little damper on our game plan. When you play good teams you can't make the mistakes you normally don't make. You have to capitalize on your opportunities."
"We are not going to let this get us down. This team keeps fighting. Our original goal was to win the WAC and we can still do that."
Boise State Head Coach Chris Peterson
"I think we found out we have some tough guys. It was nice to see the defense step up and stop the running game. I'm proud of both sides. We ran the ball well and we stopped the run."
"It was nice to see both of the running backs step up. The third down conversions really helped keep our drives alive. We've been efficient on third down and it was nice to see that happen again tonight."
"Third downs are huge. I'm just proud of our defense. I think it showed that our defense played big. They practiced hard this past week and showed up tonight. Our offensive line played well and gave the backs holes to hit."
Boise State Running Back Jeremy Avery
"I saw some pretty physical runs out of [D.J. Harper]. I challenged him to step up this game. We kept challenging each other after every down. It all starts up front and they kept getting a big push."
"They played it up as a rivalry game and we had to come out and play hard."
