FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State sophomore receiver Jason Crawley is coming off his first touchdown of the season and is ready to lead the Bulldogs against Nevada on Saturday, October 6 at 1 p.m. in Reno.
Crawley is excited for the first Bulldog Sports Network game of the year, which will be televised live on KFRE CW 59 (Comcast channel 5 in Fresno) and on ESPN GamePlan and Comcast Sports Net. Crawley took time out of his busy schedule to sit down with GoBulldogs.com and answer a couple of questions.
What do you expect out of yourself and your team this season?
I just expect to go out each week with the mind set that I have to go 1-0 today. We as a team expect to play bulldog football every week and the wins will take care of themselves.
If you weren't playing football now, what sport would you be playing?
Basketball or even volleyball. I was First Team All-League as a sophomore on the volleyball team.
Who are some of your favorite sports heroes? Why?
John Elway, because he always shows a tremendous amount of heart and determination on the field.
What are some of your favorite athletics moments? (this could be your own athletics moments or as a fan)
It has to be when I scored my first touchdown in college against Louisiana Tech my freshman season.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
Being that I am a busy man and I don't get to go on vacation if there was a place that I would like to vacation to it would be to Panama!
Have you ever experienced an embarrassing moment on the football field?
Not that I can think of.
Other than your own athletics events, have you ever been to a professional or amateur event that was big or impressive? (example: World Cup, Olympics, U.S. Open, Superbowl)
Arena Football League game.
Do you have a valued possession? Why is it valuable to you? (For example: I have a baseball card collection that I started when I was probably seven or eight years old and it always reminds me of my childhood and my favorite baseball players.)
Actually no I don't have any valued possession.
Do you play a musical instrument? Or do you have an interesting hobby?
I am actually the only person in my immediate family that doesn't play any instrument.
What has been your most difficult class at Fresno State? Why?
Biology 10. The reason it was so hard is because I took it during the summer and it was a lot of info in a short amount of time.
What are some of your career goals (if they don't pertain to football)?
To become a counselor. I want to work with young adults.
If you could offer advice to high school student-athletes who are thinking about attending Fresno State, what would you tell them?
As long as you stay focused and keep your priorities in line you'll be fine. The community is awesome and I promise the Bulldog Spirit will rub off on you!
