Bulldogs Host Oklahoma State

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's basketball team returns to the floor to play host to Big 12 foe Oklahoma State on Saturday at 11 a.m. The game can be heard live on 790 ESPN Radio, the Deuce.
This is the fifth meeting between the two schools as Oklahoma State currently leads the overall series 3-1. The Bulldogs defeated the Cowgirls 57-53 in the Save Mart Center in 2004. Last year Oklahoma State beat the Bulldogs 65-49 in Stillwater.
The Bulldogs come into Saturday's game with a 0-2 record after losing to No. 13 Cal at home and BYU on the road. Tierre Wilson leads the Bulldogs in scoring at 18 points a game. She has scored in double figures in 13 straight games dating back to last year.
Bailey Amundsen is second on the team in scoring at 12 points a game. As a team Fresno State is shooting 35 percent from the field and averaging 69 points a contest.
Oklahoma State enters the Save Mart Center with a 5-0 record after winning at UC Riverside 76-58 on Wednesday. The Cowgirls' are led by the play of Andrea Riley's 20.2 points. The sophomore guard is shooting 45 percent from the field and playing 30.2 minutes a game. She also has a team-best 25 assists and 21 steals in Oklahoma State's first five games.
The Cowgirls' have three others players scoring in double figures in Maria Cordero (13.4), Danielle Green (10.8) and Kristen Hernandez (10.2).
As a team, Oklahoma State is averaging 84.4 points a game and out scoring its opponents by 35.4 points.
"They are a great rebounding team," Fresno State women's basketball coach Adrian Wiggins said. "They are physical, very fast and they will be one of the top five teams in the Big 12. It is awesome competition for us. It is another challenging game."
Following Saturday's game, the Bulldogs travel to Texas to play at TCU. Tipoff is at 4:30 p.m. (PCT). The game will be heard live on 790 ESPN Radio, the Deuce.
