Scouting Sacramento State
Sac State is 2-8 with wins over San Jose State and Pacific. Atty Boyer leads the Hornets in scoring at 14 points a game. She is also averaging 6.8 rebounds and shooting 46 percent from the field. Erika Edwards leads the team in rebounding at 7.3 a game. Sac State is averaging 56.7 points a game and shooting 37 percent from the field.
Bulldogs against Sacramento State
Fresno State leads the overall series with the Sac State 14-6. The last meeting with the two schools was in 2000 when the Bulldogs beat the Hornets 67-61 in Fresno. The Bulldogs have won the last five meetings.

Final Game Before Christmas
Since 1981 the Bulldogs have gone 14-12 in their last game played before the Christmas break. Two of the losses were to Sacramento State in 1991 and 1992. The Dogs have won two of their last three games played before Christmas.
And the Award Goes To....
Jaleesa Ross became the first Bulldog to be named WAC Player of the Week. She received the award on Dec. 17 after she scored 17 points in Saint Mary's and 19 points against Cal-State Bakersfield. Ross averaged 18 points and 8.5 rebounds in the two games.
Making A Statement
The 43 point win over Cal-State Bakersfield was the largest margin of victory for a Bulldog team since an 86-38 win over Cal-State Northridge on December 20, 1996. The win is the third biggest win in the last 16 years. In 1991 the Bulldogs defeated Cal Poly by 46 points.
Scoring Machine
Since the end of last season Tierre Wilson has scored in double figures in 21 straight games. Prior to her career high of 28 points against Long Beach State, Wilson's high point performance during the 21 game stretch was 23 points at Loyola Marymount on December 5, 2007. Including last season, Wilson has led the Bulldogs in scoring in 17 games.
Career Nights
Tierre Wilson, Jaleesa Ross and Erica Henry have all set career highs in the last three games. In the win over Long Beach State Wilson tallied a career high of 28 points, 20 of which came in the second half. Ross had 17 points against Saint Mary's while Henry had 19 points and 14 rebounds. Ross improved on her career high in Saturday's win over Bakersfield by scoring a team-best 19 points.
