| Sophomore Haley Perkins has been named the Toyota/gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for the week of March 12. It is the first honor of the year for Perkins and the second for a member of the softball team. Perkins was named the 2007 Bulldog Classic MVP as Fresno State went 5-0 and won their own tournament last week at Bulldog Diamond. Perkins was stellar at the plate, hitting .588 with 10 hits, nine runs scored and two RBI. Perkins had three multi-hit games during the five-game tournament, including a 4-for-5 effort in Fresno State's come-from-behind victory over Colorado State. Also nominated this week: Anastasia Petukhova (women's tennis), Mirko Zapletal (men's tennis), Tommy Mendonca (baseball), Tierre Wilson (women's basketball), Dominic McGuire (men's basketball), Katie Richardson (track and field)
