Shipley Selected to go to NCAA Western Regional

FRESNO, Calif. - Jennifer Shipley was selected as an individual to compete in the NCAA Western Regional in St. George, Utah May 10-12 at the Entrada Golf Club. Shipley will be the only Bulldog advancing to the regional due to her performance this season. Shipley was named First-Team All-WAC last week upon completion of the WAC Championship.
Shipley's best finish came at the UNLV Spring Invitational when she clinched the title after she went head-to-head with Idaho's Kelly Nakashima in a playoff. Her low round also came in that tournament when she shot an outstanding 64 in the third round. Shipley has had three top five finishes and eight top 15 finishes on the season.
"This is going to be a great experience for Jennifer," said head coach Angie Cates. "Her win at UNLV showed a lot of people that she can beat some of the best players in the country and she's going to get a chance to do it again at regionals."
