Rough Road
Today's game marked the second straight week the Dogs played a ranked opponent on the road. Fresno State has played Top 25 opponents in back-to-back road games twice in the last nine games. The Dogs played at No. 5 LSU and No. 14 Boise State toward the end of the 2006 season.
Coming Home
Fresno State returns home Sept. 29 to open WAC play against Louisiana Tech. Tickets for that game are available online at www.gobulldogs.com.
More Bear
Junior tight end Bear Pascoe continues to prove why he's one of the nation's best tight ends. Pascoe, a strong candidate for the John Mackey Award, had four receptions for 67 yards, and had several big catches in the game. Pascoe has 14 receptions for 228 yards and four touchdowns this season and an average of 16.2 yards per catch. Entering the game, he led the nation in touchdown receptions.

With Bear Pascoe getting a lot of attention this season, his younger cousin, Vince, got in the Bulldog books with his first career touchdown, a 2-yard passes from Tom Brandstater in the second quarter. Vince is a walk-on who has been used primarily in blocking situations. It was the first time he's touched the ball this season.
Noteworthy
Freshman Jamel Hamler made his first career catch against the Ducks, a 24-yard grab for in the first quarter on Fresno State's first touchdown drive. He finished with XX receptions for XX yards ... senior linebacker Trevor Shamblee saw his action on kickoff returns and had three returns for 65 yards all in the first half. Last season, he had two for 34 on the season ...Seyi Ajirotutu had a 30-yard reception in the game, the second straight game he's had one of 30 or more yards ... the Dogs allowed a blocked PAT, the first since last season at Washington ... this game concludes a five-game Fresno State vs. Oregon series, which is not expected to be renewed anytime soon. Oregon does not have any non-conference openings on future schedules until 2014 ... the Dogs played the game without both starting offensive guards, Cole Popovich and Adam McDowell, who didn't play because of injuries ... freshman Devon Wylie had a 47-yard kickoff return in the second quarter, the longest of the season for the Dogs ... freshman Chris Carter recovered a third quarter fumble, the first of his career ... senior punter Kyle Zimmerman had the best day of his career with a 45.4 average and a career-long 61-yard punt ... freshman Tim Lang made his first career catch ... twelve different Bulldogs caught passes in the game ... redshirt freshman Ryan Colburn completed all three of his passes in relief.
