ESPN to Broadcast 39 Softball Games

FRESNO, Calif. - The 2008 ESPN Radio softball schedule was announced and a record 39 Fresno State games will be on the air. Two of ESPN's great local voices, Guy Haberman and Paul Swearengin will be calling the action at 31 home games and eight road games.
Six of the games will air on ESPN 1430, while the remaining games can be heard on the sister station 790 ESPN Radio the Deuce.
The broadcasts begin with the home opening double-header versus Pacific of February 9, at 1 p.m. Haberman and Swearengin will call all of the action live from the Bulldog Classic (March 6-9) at Bulldog Diamond and all but one home WAC game beginning with Nevada on April 5.
ESPN will cover parts of three tournaments on the road that the Bulldogs will be a part of in 2008, including both San Diego State Tournaments on February 16 and March 1 and the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, Calif., on March 21.
Swearengin has been broadcasting Bulldog softball for 15 years while Haberman has been assisting him for four.
