`Dogs Earn Top 40 Pre-Season Ranking

FRESNO, Calif. - The pre-season honors just keep rolling in for the 2008 Fresno State softball team. After receiving votes in the pre-season poll last week by the National Fastpitch Association, the Bulldogs saw themselves also receiving votes in the newest pre-season poll released by ESPN.com/USA Softball.
The Bulldogs earned 13 votes in the poll and saw seven of their opponents in the top 25: Oklahoma, LSU, Hawai'i, Ohio State, Oregon, Cal State Fullerton and Texas, and another four receiving votes: Massachusetts, Houston, Long Beach State, UNLV and Cal Poly.
Fresno State begins the season hosting Pacific in a double-header on Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.
