On Idaho
"I'll tell you what, nothing's easy. There's one thing that Idaho did better against us than anybody else has this year and that's third down conversions. Our style is usually controlling the clock and we didn't' do that tonight. Idaho did a great job on third down conversions. We couldn't get off the field after the third downs." "Idaho was able to tire us out a little. As that game wore on, we were struggling a little bit. The break comes at a good time. The pace of the game was a little bit more than I expected. Hawaii was a tough loss. Everybody knows we shouldn't have lost that game. This game was to get our confidence back and get a win. That is all that matters. We have things to work on but we got the win and that is all that matters.

"I do feel like we showed more improvement. I just told this team that I am very proud of the way they are fighting and that they fought until the very last second of this game. There were a couple of letdowns and plays that made a difference. Our team was fighting. They want it as bad as anyone else.
We are going to keep fighting our tails off. The things we wanted to get done, we got it done. We are going to get this team over the edge. Tonight was a little more proof of that. We were able to move the ball more successfully. There were a couple of runs that really stung us.
There are not a lot of things that are fun when you are not having success. We need to get back to where we are competing. I want it to be a competitive thing on defense of who can get to the football first, quarterback first, and making plays."

"It's one of the closest times we have played right down to the end. Our offense played well and our defense made some key stops. We just needed a little more. I am definitely getting more comfortable and better at getting the ball out of my hand quicker or if nothing is there, tucking and running. We have to keep it balanced (passing and running) and we did that tonight."
