Four 'Dogs Selected to National Indoors

FRESNO, Calif. - After an impressive fall season, the Fresno State women's tennis team have been rewarded with four spots in the ITA National Indoor Tournament Nov. 6-9 in Charlottesville, Va.
No. 12 Melanie Gloria and No. 16 Anastasia Petukhova will compete in both singles and doubles. No. 86 Tinesta Rowe will join Gloria in the doubles championship, while Renata Kucerkova will team up with Petukhova.
The ITA National Indoor Tournament is the second of three national tournaments, the last one being the NCAA Championships in May.
"We're excited to have four players in the field, and the only school to have two doubles teams competing," said head coach Simon Thibodeau. "We will have another opportunity to make a good showing in a national tournament."
Gloria has posted an impressive 10-3 singles record while capturing the ITA Northwest Regional title. In doubles, Gloria and Rowe have a 5-2 record and reached the final of the ITA Northwest Regional doubles tournament.
No. 8 ranked doubles team Petukhova and Kucerkova will join No. 1 Gloria and Rowe in the doubles tournament after reaching the finals at the ITA All-American Championship and winning the ITA Northwest Regional title. The Bulldog duo has an 8-1 doubles record in the fall season. Petukhova also snagged a singles bid in the championship with strong play throughout the fall season.
