Women Test CSU Bakersfield

FRESNO, Calif. - The women's cross country team took on CSU Bakersfield Saturday at the Roadrunner Invitational. The team used the race as a chance to stretch their legs and, in the process, put in a solid performance.
Laurie Loeffler led the Bulldogs in the 5K with an eighth place finish at 21:38.50.
The next four Fresno State athletes all crossed together. Janev Morris, Erica Embry, Tiera Hilliard, and Cara Montes filled in the 12th through 15th spots. Morris and Embry timed in under 23 minutes, finishing at 22:25.43 and 22:33.21. Hilliard, the 2008 WAC Champion in the 200-meters, clocked in at 23:51.06, while Montes completed the race at 24:18.00.
Three other Bulldogs competed in the race: Andrea Greenman, Annie Bledsoe and Maddy Hintergardt.
Both the men's and women's cross country teams travel to the Stanford Invitational Saturday in Palo Alto, Calif.
