FRESNO, Calif. - Members of the Fresno State soccer team joined with Fresno Fire, Clovis Fire, Madera County Fire, Cal Fire, and Fresno Police Departments for the 25th annual delivering Santa to Valley Children's Hospital.
Several Bulldogs spent the morning singing holiday songs and giving out teddy bears to children spending the holidays in the hospital.
"It is an amazing feeling to see how their faces light up when we walk in with a teddy bear," said Sophomore Allison Ventura. "It is fun visiting and bringing holiday cheer to the kids."
As the soccer team, Santa, and Timeout drove up to the hospital in Fire engines, the children's faces lit up with excitement. The group sang three holiday songs before splitting up and handing out teddy bears and visiting children throughout the hospital.
"It is just as much fun for me to hand out bears, as the kids are having getting them," said Freshman Molly Nizzoli. "It's is great to see how much this means to them and how it can make a child smile or laugh."
The Bulldogs spent a few hours visiting children throughout the hospital. Check out the Bulldog's visit by clicking on the link at the top of the page.
