FRESNO, Calif. - The women's swimming team will head to the California coast this weekend, to face the Mustangs of Cal Poly and the Matadors of Cal State Northridge, a Big West foe, in the Third Annual Mustang Invitational hosted by Cal Poly at Sinsheimer Park. The meet begins at 10 a.m. on Friday and resumes at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
"I am so excited to see how the girls do this weekend," said head coach Jeanne Fleck. "We are resting a little for the meet so I think we should end up getting a lot of best times. It will be fun to see what they do."
The Lady Mustangs enter this weekend's invitational with a record of 2-8. They are hosting Fresno State and Northridge in their first home meet of the season and last meet of 2008. The Matadors are 0-4 and coming off a 16th place finish at the Nike Cup in Long Beach, Calif.
