Coppin Named WAC Golfer of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - Sophomore Hali Coppin earned Western Athletic Conference Co-Golfer of the Week for the week of March 31- April 6. Coppin shared the honor with Nevada's Jennie Pleas to mark her first WAC honor.
Both players competed in the NCAA Western Regional Preview in Lincoln, Calif. at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club, March 31-April 1, and finished in a tie for 11th place, the highest finish by any of the 15 WAC golfers playing in the tournament.
Coppin, a native from Loomis, Calif. (Del Oro HS), turned in her best performance of her career with a 6-over par 222 (75-74-73) at the tournament. Her score helped Fresno State to a third place finish in the 19-team field.
"Join the State - Fresno State!" - The Fresno State women's golf team will conclude the regular season at the Peg Barnard Collegiate April11-12 at the Stanford Golf Club before hosting the WAC Championships at Sunnyside Country Club. The Bulldogs will host the tournament April 21-23 and admission is free.
