'Dogs Continue First WAC Road Trip In Reno

RENO, Nev. - Fresno State will face the five-time defending WAC champion Nevada Wolf Pack in Reno at 7 p.m. PST in the Lawlor Event Center on Saturday night (Jan. 17). This marks the third game this season for the Bulldogs held in the state of Nevada. The game can be seen on the Bulldog Sports Network (KAIL/MY53) with Ralph Wood and Bob Donewald calling the action. Fresno State is 7-10 on the season and looking for its first WAC win of the year.

About the Wolf Pack
The University of Nevada sits at 10-7 on the season after beating Boise State 77-63 on Thursday night. The Wolf Pack is one game behind Utah State for first place in conference play. Freshman forward Luke Babbitt is the reigning WAC Player of the Week and leads the Wolf Pack with 15.4 ppg and 7.5 rpg. Sophomore guard Armon Johnson adds 15.2 ppg and 3.5 rpg. Nevada was picked to finish first in the WAC in the coaches and media preseason poll.
Against the Wolf Pack
Fresno State trails the overall series with Nevada, 43-34. The `Dogs last defeated the Wolf Pack in Reno in 2005 (66-63). Fresno State and Nevada most recently met during the Quarterfinals of the 2008 WAC Tournament as the Wolf Pack won 64-57.
LAST GAME: Seay Scores Career-High 32 Against Utah State
While executing their gameplan to near perfection, junior forward Sylvester Seay made a statement with a dominating career-high 32-point night as the Bulldog's upset bid to stop the Aggie's 26-game home winning streak ended in a 65-61 loss at Utah State on Thursday night in the packed Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Fresno State led at halftime by a score of 32-28. On the night, the `Dogs shot 47 percent from the field against the first-place Aggies, who remained undefeated in conference play.

`Dogs Top Conference in Three-Pointers, Blocks and Attendance As of Jan. 16, Fresno State topped the WAC in 3-pointers made (7.12 per game), blocked shots (5.12 per game) and home attendance (8,724 per game) for the season. True freshman guard Paul George leads the league in 3-point shooting by hitting 33 of 71 three-point attempts this year. Senior guard Dwight O'Neil is third with 5.47 assists per game. Junior forward Sylvester Seay is third with 1.76 blocks per game.

"Join the State - Fresno State!" - The `Dogs continue on the road as they take on Nevada on Saturday, January 17 at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Bulldog Sports Network and can be seen on KAIL-TV (MY 53), My Digital 7.1 on HDTV as well as ESPN Full Court and www.espn360.com.
