FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State women's basketball coach Adrian Wiggins has announced the signing of Ali Drennan to an Athletics Aid Agreement. Drennan will practice with the team for the remainder of the season but not compete in games.
"Ali is from the same high school as Chantella Perera," Fresno State coach Adrian Wiggins said. "She is a long athletic guard who can shoot the three. We are excited to have her join our program."
Drennan is no stranger to Fresno and the Save Mart Center as she played on the Melbourne Roos team that played at Fresno State in an exhibition game in 2005 and 2007. In 2007, she played 19 minutes and had three points, four assists and two rebounds.
Drennan is a 5'9 combo guard from Melbourne, Australia who attended Caulfield Grammar School. She played for the Knox Raiders club team in Australia where she scored 8.6 points a game and shot 47 percent from the field. She also averaged 2.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists a game. Last year she won the Coaches Award for her team while helping lead the Raiders to the Big V Youth League championship.
