ESPNU to Broadcast Bulldog Women's Hoops

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's basketball team is going to make its first-ever regular season appearance on national television this year when ESPNU broadcasts the January 27 home game against Boise State. Tip off will be at 8 p.m.
"We are excited to showcase our program and the Save Mart Center to a national audience," Fresno State coach Adrian Wiggins said. "The TV deal is a great opportunity for the WAC to showcase the level of talent we have in the conference."
This isn't the Bulldogs first time playing on national television as their two NCAA tournament appearances were broadcasted on ESPN 2 and the last two WAC championship games were on CSTV and ESPNU.
ESPNU will televise three regular-season WAC women's basketball match-ups and will also air the championship game of the WAC Tournament, held at Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nev.
ESPNU is a multimedia college sports brand, highlighted by a 24-hour television network and Web site - ESPNU.com. The ESPNU schedule features more than 550 live events (regular-season and championships) annually. Action includes a variety of top football and men's and women's basketball mixed with baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, ice hockey, wrestling and more.
The network also has a wide-ranging, long-term agreement with the NCAA calling for extensive coverage of 22 NCAA Championships, including sports from each of the three collegiate seasons.
ESPNU is available nationwide in more than 47 million households and has long-term carriage agreements with nine of the top 10 providers - Charter, Comcast, Cox, DirecTV (Channel 614), DISH Network (Channel 148), Mediacom, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS TV and AT&T U-verse.

"We Are Your Team" - The Bulldogs travel to Hawaii to take on the WAC rival Warriors on Saturday, October 10 at 8 p.m. The game can be seen on the Bulldog Sports Network on KAIL (Comcast Cable, Channel 13). The Bulldogs return to Bulldog Stadium on Saturday, October 17 as they host San Jose State in the annual Homecoming game. The Community Food Bank along with the Bulldog Pantry will be hosting a canned food drive so bring canned food to help feed the Central Valley's hungry.
