Golubovic Named First-Team Academic All-District 8
Nedeljko Golubovic, a sophomore originally from Pljevlja, Serbia, earned an exclusive spot on the First-Team Academic All-District 8 team and now is on the ballot to be selected as an Academic All-American. This is believed to be the first such honor for a Fresno State men's basketball student-athlete in the history of the program. Golubovic earned a cumulative 3.76 grade point average in his three semesters at Fresno State, including a distinction on the President's List during the Fall 2007 semester for a perfect 4.0 GPA. Golubovic's selection puts him in an elite group, as he was the only University Division student-athlete from a California college and the only representative from a Western Athletic Conference school to earn recognition.
