Rowe Named WAC Player of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - The Western Athletic Conference announced Fresno State senior Tinesta Rowe as the WAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of April 13-19 on Tuesday.
Rowe went 3-0 on the week in singles action. She started the week by defeating Hawai'i's Aglae Van den Bergh, 6-1, 6-1, then Idaho's Alexandra Ulesan, 3-6, 6-3, (10-6), and finished by beating Boise State's Bianca Jochimsen, 6-1, 6-2. She also went 3-0 with partner Melanie Gloria in doubles. The pair outscored their opponents 24-10 on the week.
This is the first time this year Rowe has received the honor, and the sixth time for Fresno State as a team.
