Four Bulldogs Collect All-WAC Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - After sweeping the WAC with a dominating, undefeated conference run, Fresno State had four players named to the 2008-09 All-WAC women's tennis team on Thursday.
Senior Melanie Gloria collected her fourth-straight WAC Player of the Year award. She was also named First Team All-WAC honors for singles. Teammates Anastasia Petukhova and Renata Kucerkova also were honored on the first team. Senior Tinesta Rowe was named to the Second Team All-WAC.
The Bulldogs also had two pairs were honored on the First Team All-WAC for doubles. The top-ranked team in the country, Petukhova and Kucerkova, and returning NCAA finalists Gloria and Rowe both received doubles honors.
Bulldog head coach Simon Thibodeau was named the WAC Coach of the Year for the fifth time in his tenure at Fresno State.
