Bulldogs to Compete in NCAA Singles and Doubles

FRESNO, Calif. - The NCAA announced on Wednesday four players from the No. 16 Fresno State women's tennis team will be playing in either the NCAA Singles or Doubles Tournament in College Station, Texas, May 20-25, in addition to the NCAA Team Tournament.
Bulldog juniors Renata Kucerkova and Anastasia Petukhova will defend their No. 1 ranking in the country in doubles, while 15th-ranked Tinesta Rowe and Melanie Gloria, both seniors, will make a run at a return appearance to the NCAA Championship match.
Last season both Bulldog duos qualified for the semifinals. This year, they will attempt to meet in the championships.
No. 18 Gloria and No. 27 Petukhova will also represent the Bulldogs in the NCAA Singles Tournament. Petukhova was an All-American in 2008 and Gloria is a two-time All-American.
