Bulldog Foundation Introduces New Priority Point System

FRESNO, Calif. - All members of the Bulldog Foundation will enjoy additional benefits with a new priority points system. The Points System will determine priority for new season tickets, season ticket relocations, football parking passes, individual game tickets, bowl games as well as any other post-season events.
The Bulldog Foundation is the fundraising arm of Fresno State Athletics and supports student-athletes as they strive for excellence in the classroom, in competition and in life "Beyond the Game." The Bulldog Foundation provides opportunities for student-athletes, strengthens the university, and reflects positively on the community.
Among the many features of the new points system are:
- Customers must have a current minimum BDF Red Wave membership ($100) to be eligible for any points.
- Renewing season ticket holders have the first right of refusal on their season ticket locations as long as they meet the BDF donation requirement(s) for those seats.
- Renewing football parking pass holders also have the first right of refusal on their pass(es) as long as they meet the BDF donation requirement(s) for their parking area(s).
- Current year BDF annual donations and any annual fund donations from the previous four years are given points as long as they are given in consecutive years. If a donor drops out for one year they lose points for all previous years of giving.
- Priority Points are not transferable.
The BDF has a long-standing history of support of Fresno State athletics for more than 50 years.
The Priority Point System rewards active Bulldog Foundation members for both current and historic giving. Members are also rewarded for season ticket purchases, service, referrals, and for being a former Bulldog Student-Athlete. Renewing donors can continue building up their priority point totals which will help with season ticket upgrades, individual and away game ticket allocations, postseason ticket allocations, and parking allocations. Since there are only two years left on the existing personal seat licenses in Bulldog Stadium, now is a great time for new donors to begin accumulating points and position themselves for the season ticket allocation process in 2011. Season ticket opportunities are available in the Red Seats, Premium Bench Seats, and Bulldog Foundation Seats.
"Now is also a great time for existing donors to upgrade their season tickets and improve their real estate in Bulldog Stadium," said Assistant Athletics Director for Development Coleman Barnes. "Existing Bulldog Foundation members will have first right of refusal for their season tickets in 2011, then all available seats will be allocated based on the Priority Point System."
NEW BDF POINT SYSTEM
- Current Annual Fund Donation: 4 POINTS for every $1 donated to the BDF during the current year.
- Historical Annual Fund Donation: 2 POINTS for every $1 annual fund donation to the BDF during the previous four consecutive years.
- Personal Seat Licenses: 4 POINTS for every $1 of pro-rated (value divided by 10) personal seat license for Football, Men's Basketball, Baseball, or Softball.
- Season Ticket Purchases: 100 POINTS for every season ticket purchased to any Fresno State sport for the current year.
- New Donation Revenue Generated: 1 POINT for every $1 of new donation revenue generated by fund drive volunteers or member referrals during the current year.
- Volunteer Years of Service : 100 POINTS for every 1 year of service as a BDF Fund Drive Volunteer (retired or active).
- Club Red Membership: 500 POINTS for being an active member of Club Red, the organization for former Bulldog Student-Athletes, coaches, trainers, managers, and cheer squad members.
The deadline to renew Bulldog Foundation memberships is June 1. Priority rankings will be run shortly after this date.
