Petukhova and Kucerkova Begin 2009-10 Ranked No. 1

FRESNO, Calif. - The first ITA Tennis rankings of the 2009-10 season were released on Friday and the Fresno State doubles pair of Renata Kucerkova and Anastasia Petukhova were perched atop of the preseason doubles rankings.
The ITA ranked both Kucerkova and Petukhova individually also. Petukhova is listed No. 22 and Kucerkova is also in the Top 60 at No. 51.
As a doubles team, they earned All-American honors by qualifying for the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Tournament. They were also First Team All-WAC in both singles and doubles. Kucerkova competed in the 2007 NCAA Singles Tournament and Petukhova represented the Bulldogs at the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Singles Tournaments.
