Bulldogs Fall to Hawai'i

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's soccer team lost 1-0 to Western Athletic Conference foe Hawai'i on Sunday. The Bulldogs recorded five shots against the Rainbow Wahine. The `Dogs are 4-7-2 on the season and 0-2 in WAC play.
Alex Jensen took a shot from well outside of the 18-yard box that nearly made it passed the Hawai'i goalkeeper. Another close call on goal for the Bulldogs came from Kendall VanDine. VanDine rocketed off a shot that hit the top post of the goal.
The `Dogs entered the half time break with a 0-0 tie. Senior Kaitlyn Revel recorded two saves in the first half.
Hawaii took the lead in the second half after Skye Shimabukuro scored in the 50th minute. Karli Look recorded the assist on the play.
VanDine finished with a team-high two shots. Senior Nicole Duff came off the bench and also had two shots for the Bulldogs. Revel had a total of five saves during the match.
"We Are Your Team" The Bulldogs continue WAC play on the road next week. The `Dogs head to New Mexico State on Oct. 15 and Louisiana Tech on Oct. 17. Fresno State returns to Bulldog Stadium on Oct. 22 and plays Utah State.
