Dogs Return to Action, Travel to Louisiana
After a much-needed break, the Fresno State football team returns to action this week traveling to Louisiana Tech, Neither Fresno State nor La Tech played last Saturday. Fresno State is on the road for the second straight game, but has just one road game remaining, Nov. 19 at No. 3 Boise State, playing three of their final five games at home.

Nevada Game Time Changed for ESPN
Fresno State's next home game, Nov. 13 vs. Nevada, has been moved to 7:30 p.m. PT and will be televised by either ESPN or ESPNU. ESPN announced the selection of the game on Monday,
About La Tech
Under first-year head coach Sonny Dykes, the Bulldogs have overcome a four-game losing streak to win two of their last three WAC games. La Tech is coming off a 49-20 loss at Boise State on Oct. 26. The Dogs have earned impressive WAC home wins over Utah State and Idaho and are 2-2 in home games this season. Quarterback Ross Jenkins is leading a passing attack that has seen seven different players attempt a pass this season. Jenkins is completing over 68 percent of his passes and thrown seven touchdowns against two interceptions. Lennon Creer has more than 750 rushing yards and is averaging 5.5 yards per carry out of the backfield. Adrien Cole leads La Tech in tackles with 66 while Matt Broha is among the WAC leaders in quarterback sacks with seven.
Against La Tech
Fresno State has won eight of the 11 meetings this series which began in 1986, but the teams have split the last six meetings, including a 38-35 La Tech win in Ruston in 2008. Last season, Ryan Colburn directed an impressive 2-minute drive that covered 68 yards and ended in a Kevin Goessling 35-yard field goal on the game's final play for a 30-28 win over Derek Dooley's squad at Bulldog Stadium. Fresno State has won two of the four meetings at La Tech, last winning 34-27 in 2006.

Fresno State's Chris Carter and Logan Harrell are among the top six players in the nation in quarterback sacks. Carter is the national leader at 1.29 per game.
Goessling Named Groza Semifinalist
On Friday the Palm Beach County Sports Commission released its 20 semi-finalists for the 2010 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award presented by the Discover Orange Bowl. These twenty place-kickers have all excelled throughout the season in earning their places as semifinalists. Fresno State junior Kevin Goessling made the list for the second consecutive year. Goessling was selected first-team All-WAC and honorable mention All-America last season in which he made 15-of-16 field goals attempts. He was named the WAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against San Jose State in which he was 4-for-4 in field goal attempts in Fresno State's 33-18 win. He had two field goals over 40 yards including a long of 44. Goessling was also 3-for-3 on extra point attempts to run his consecutive streak to 116, 12 shy of the all-time WAC record.
