Dogs Return Home to Host Vandals
Coming off one of the most difficult losses in recent history, the Bulldog football team looks to rebound this weekend when WAC rival Idaho comes to Fresno State. The Dogs, who suffered a 51-0 loss to No. 3 Boise State on Friday, are looking for their seventh win on the season. The Vandals are looking to become bowl eligible for the second straight season and need a win over the Dogs to accomplish that feat.

About Idaho
The reigning uDrove Humanitarian Bowl champions are looking to build on a breakthrough 2009 season. Under head coach Robb Akey, Idaho can reach a bowl game in back to back season for the first time in school history. The Vandals are coming off a 28-6 win at Utah State which snapped a tough three-game losing streak of game at Hawaii (45-10), vs. Nevada (63-17) and Boise State (56-14) at home. Quarterback Nathan Enderle has thrown 21 touchdowns this season, second most of any player in the WAC this season. He leads a Vandal passing game that ranks eighth nationally in passing yardage (312.3 ypg).
Against Idaho
The Bulldogs own an 8-4 all-time record against the Vandals in a series that began in 1946. The Bulldogs are 4-2 in games played in Fresno, 2-0 in Bulldog Stadium. Fresno State's last loss to the Vandals (30-10) was Sept. 23, 1967 in Moscow. Since then, the Dogs have won seven straight in the series. Since Idaho joined the WAC in 2005, the Bulldogs have outscored the Vandals by 100 combined points (187-87). The closest margin of victory was Fresno State's 31-21 win last season in the Kibbie Dome.
Illinois Follows Idaho
Fresno State closes its Centennial season with "I" schools, Idaho followed by Illinois. Big Ten opponent Illinois comes to Bulldog Stadium on Dec. 3. The Illini are 6-5 on the season and already bowl eligible. Last weekend, junior running back Mikel Leshoure rushed for a school-record 330 yards (on 33 carries) and two touchdowns as Illinois (6-5, 4-4) defeated Big Ten and instate rival Northwestern, 48-27, at Wrigley Field. Leshoure's 330 yards were the most by an FBS running back since Navy's Shun White had 348 on Aug. 30, 2008. Leshoure was named the national player of the week for his performance. Carter and Harrell 10th in NCAA Sack Race
Fresno State's Chris Carter and Logan Harrell are among the top players in the nation in quarterback sacks and they share the WAC lead. They are the nation's top sack artists this season ranking 10th nationally with 18 combined sacks. As a team, Fresno State has 30 sacks this season which ranks 15th among NCAA teams. Idaho has allowed a WAC-high 37 sacks this season.
Rouse Gets 1,000
Robbie Rouse became the first Bulldog true sophomore to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. Rouse has 1,014 yards after picking up 70 Friday night against the Broncos with two regular season games remaining. Rouse has rushed for 839 yards in the last five games. He needs 92 yards to break into the Bulldog Top 10 for most yards in a season. He ranks 12 in the NCAA and second in the WAC to Nevada's Vai Taua for rushing yard average at 112.7 per game.
