FRESNO, Calif. - Junior kicker Kevin Goessling was awarded WAC Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season. Goessling kicked a 52-yard field goal, his longest field goal of the season, during Fresno State's last home game of 2010 against Illinois on Friday.
Goessling, a junior from Placentia, Calif. (Servite HS), made both of his field goal attempts in Fresno State's 25-23 win over Illinois on Friday night. His 52-yard field goal in the second quarter was the longest by any WAC player this season. He also hit a 45-yarder late in the first quarter of the game.
