Bulldogs Host Annual Best in the West

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State will host the annual Best in the West Tournament Feb. 20-21 at the Student Horse Center. This event, a tournament bracket format, is unlike any other in-season event on the equestrian schedule. The Dogs host No. 7 TCU, Tennessee-Martin and Sacred Heart for the event. Admission is free.

Fresno State is coming off consecutive home wins over UC Davis and Stanford leading up to the Best in the West tournament.

The next meet for the Bulldogs is Feb. 27, 2010, at No. 9 New Mexico State.
Dogs Remain 10th in Coaches Poll
Fresno State is ranked No. 10 in the most recent national equestrian coaches' poll, which was released on Feb. 16. The Dogs have been ranked in the Top 10 since the nationl poll began over a year ago. The collegiate coaches competing under the Varsity Equestrian Championship umbrella initiated the national poll. The poll is released bi-monthly when the schools are in season.
