Bulldogs Battle Women of Troy

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's tennis team will begin the week with a trip to Los Angeles to take on the No. 21 USC Trojans on Tuesday.
Fresno State senior Renata Kucerkova is coming off a dominant performance on Saturday, when she handed 81st-ranked Adrianna Kolffer of Pepperdine a 6-0, 6-2 defeat in Malibu.
The Bulldogs are the defending eight-time WAC Champions and are looking to add a ninth in 2010.
USC is 8-6 on the season and is the defending Pac-10 Champion. The Trojan lineup features four ranked singles players and two variations of a ranked doubles team. In singles junior Maria Sanchez is ranked No. 3, sophomore Allison Ramos is No. 20, freshman Danielle Lao is No. 32 and freshman Valeria Pulido is No. 82. In doubles Sanchez is ranked No. 56 with Pulido and No. 62 with junior Lyndsay Kinstler.
The Trojans are 11-1 in the all-time series between the squads.
