Fresno State to Take on NMSU, USU and Nevada

FRESNO, Calif. - The defending eight-time WAC Champion Fresno State women's tennis team looks to build upon its momentum as it squares off against three conference opponents this weekend in Las Cruces, N.M.
The Bulldogs will start with a doubleheader on Friday against the host New Mexico State Aggies at 8 a.m. PT and Utah State at noon. They will conclude the week against No. 75 Nevada on Saturday at 9 a.m. PT.
Fresno State is coming in with a three-match winning streak in WAC play, after defeating Idaho, Hawai'i and San Jose State, each 6-1, on April 3. The Bulldogs have also won four of their last six matches, dating back to March 20.
Bulldog senior Renata Kucerkova has been in top form lately, winning her last four matches, including a 7-6, 3-6, (10-7) victory over No. 29 Marta Lesniak of SMU.
In total, four Bulldogs - Kucerkova and freshmen Bianca Modoc, Melissa McQueen and Julia Gragera-Cano - have started the WAC season 3-0 in singles action.
New Mexico State is 8-11 on the year and owns a 1-2 record in WAC play. Fresno State is 8-0 all-time against New Mexico State, including a 7-0 victory last season for the 'Dogs.
Utah State brings an 8-7 record into the weekend and is 1-1 against conference foes. Last season the 'Dogs and the Aggies met for the first time in school history, with the Bulldogs coming away with a 7-0 win at home.
The Wolf Pack is 9-7 on the year and are led by No. 96 Maria Milewski. Nevada has gone 3-1 in four conference matches thus far on the season. The Bulldogs have won all 16 matches in the series with the Wolf Pack, which dates back to 1990.
After the weekend in New Mexico, the Bulldogs will face California on April 15 in Berkeley, Calif., followed by a doubleheader on April 17 against Louisiana Tech and Boise State in Boise, Idaho.
