FRESNO, Calif. -
After the Fresno State equestrian team opens their 2010-11 season on Saturday, Sept. 25 with an Alumni Scrimmage, Bulldog fans will have the chance to kick back country style at the second Annual Bulldog Barnyard Bash in the Animal Science Pavilion.
The evening will run from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and the agenda is filled with fun festivities from beginning to end.
"This is a great opportunity for the community to come and meet the team and get familiar with Varsity Equestrian," said Coach Julia Scrivani. "The Alumni Scrimmage and Barn Yard Bash is a very special way for us to celebrate the Centennial Season."
David Stone will be donating the food for the evening and barbequing for the bash. There will also be live music provided by the Sierra Cowboy Riders and country inspired dancing. The Equestrian booster club, The Saddle Club, will have a silent auction going during the entire evening. Local radio talent Greg Lane from Kiss Country will be hosting the evening as well as acting as auctioneer for the anticipated live auction.
All proceeds will fund the 2010-11 Saddle Club project to purchase an electronic scoreboard for the Student Horse Center.
"We are excited to be celebrating the alumni day and having the past meet the present," said Coach Stephanie Reeves. "It will be exciting for all of the alumni to see all of the changes that have been made over the years."
The Animal Science Pavilion is located on campus at 2708 E. Barstow Avenue, north of Woodrow.
