BERKELEY, Calif. -
The Fresno State women's tennis team finished its final day of play today in the Cal Nike Invitational.
Junior Melissa McQueen made it to the finals in the ITA Gold singles consolations, but was defeated by Pacific's Iveta Masarova 6-4, 6-0.
In round robin doubles play junior's Bianca Modoc and Olga Kirpicheva went an impressive 8-0 against Nevada's Faith Bassiouny and Iva Lepcevska.
Both freshman Anne Susdorf and Bianca Modoc also defeated their opponents in singles round robin.
Sophomore Tanya Murtagh fell short to UC Davis's Dahra Zamudio 6-2,6-1.
At the ITA All-Americans, Fresno State's doubles team of senior Laura Pola and sophomore Marianne Jodoin played Vanderbilt and lost 8-3.
The team is back in action Oct. 14 at the St. Mary's College Invitational.
