Fresno State falls to 2-4 on the year with its sixth-straight loss to Boise State, who jumped up to 5-0 on the season.
"It was just one of those nights where we wanted to do so much as a team and as a program, for our community, and for our fans, and we fell flat," head coach Pat Hill said. "This was probably the hardest game I have gone through since I've been here on that standpoint. We got to move on and get ourselves back on task."
Fresno State turned the ball over four times in the game and gave up a blocked punt. The Broncos capitalized off the Bulldog mishaps and scored five touchdowns off those five plays.
Bronco quarterback Kellen Moore completed 23-of-31 passes for 254 yards and three touchdowns. Boise State had five rushing touchdowns in the game and running back Doug Martin had a game-high 94 yards on the ground with one TD.
Boise State led 37-0 at the half and outgained the Bulldogs 305-191 in the first two quarters. The Broncos finished with 464 yards of total offense to the 270 for the Bulldogs.
Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr completed 17-of-30 passes for 126 yards. Robbie Rouse ran 10 times for 72 yards to lead the rushing attack that netted 144 yards in the game.
Redshirt freshman Josh Harper led all receivers with eight catches in the game for 75 yards.
