FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State senior Devon Wylie picked up his second All-American nod, as he was named to Sports Illustrated's 2011 honorable mention team as a punt returner.
The honor comes after he was named to the 2011 Yahoo! Sports All-America third team as a punt returner.
Wylie, a 5-9, 185-pound wide receiver out of Roseville, Calif., was fourth in the nation with his 15.4 average on 29 punt returns.
The fifth-year senior returned two punts for touchdowns this season, the first being a 67 yarder at No. 10 Nebraska and the second a 79-yard return vs. No. 5 Boise State.
Wylie had six-straight games from Sept. 10-Oct. 15 where he returned a punt 30 yards or longer. He finished the season with 446 yards off the 29 returns.
In addition to excelling on punt returns, Wylie also led the team in receptions with 56. He gathered 716 yards receiving, including a pair of 100-yard receiving games, and caught one touchdown on the year.
