First Day On The Job For DeRuyter

With all the hype, glitz, and glam, Fresno State's new head football coach Tim DeRuyter had a busy first day to say the least.
DeRuyter started his Wednesday morning off with Director of Athletics Thomas Boeh and Fresno State administration discussing the change he will bring to Bulldog football, while keeping old traditions alive. He was ready for his big debut and prepared to take on the task of building champions.
Senior Associate Athletics Director Paul Ladwig, Boeh, and DeRuyter sat in a conference room located in the Save Mart Center preparing for the press conference that was set to begin at 1:00 p.m., when some familiar faces showed up. DeRuyter's family had flown in from Texas to support him as he embarked on his new adventure.
After the press conference DeRuyter was escorted over to the Bulldog Foundation Room where he was greeted with great enthusiasm by donors, corporate partners, staff and fans.
Coach DeRuyter met with the current team, followed by marketing and promotional material, then one-on-one interviews with local media members, before leaving the Save Mart Center at 5 p.m.
The first night on the job was now beginning. It was off to Bulldog Stadium for three live shots on local news, then dinner and capped off by a live shot on the 10 p.m. news.
All in all, a normal first day for new Bulldog head coach Tim DeRuyter. Welcome to Fresno State.
