FRESNO, Calif. - Sophomore Amanda Cross scored three goals, and the Fresno State women's lacrosse team held a one-goal lead at the half, but the Bulldogs were stymied by Presbyterian 14-11 on Thursday.
Eight players scored for Fresno State, and Cross has now scored at least one goal in each of the past six games. She currently leads the team with 18 goals on the season. Sophomore Natalie Harrington added two goals for the Bulldogs (0-9), while Paula Badali, Lauren Natale, Briana Hetherington, Taylor Fiehler, Rachel Minarovich and Heather Jack added one each. Badali also had a team-high two assists.
Despite holding a 7-6 lead at the half, Fresno State was outscored 8-4 in the second half. The Blue Hose (3-7) out-shot the Bulldogs 32-30 and received six goals from Kirstin Stenoien.
Fresno State will wrap up its three-game road swing Sunday at High Point.
