FRESNO, Calif. - The partnership between ESPN Radio and Fresno State softball will continue for the 2011 season.
Guy Haberman, a Fresno State graduate and local radio personality, will call the action for his eighth season as the Bulldogs' softball play-by-play announcer.
"Guy's experience and ability to tell the story of our softball tradition is a perfect match and we are thrilled to continue this great partnership," Associate Athletics Director Paul Ladwig said.
Fresno State will host two schools ranked currently in the national Top 25 polls - No. 11/11 California and No. 14/17 Hawai'i. The Bulldogs also host longtime rival California on March 13 at 2 p.m. in the finale of the Bayer CropScience Classic at Bulldog Diamond. The Dogs are set for three WAC home games versus Hawai'i on April 1 and 2. All four games are included in the radio package.
A total of 17 regular season games as well as all Fresno State games during the Western Athletic Conference Tournament from May 11-14 at Bulldog Diamond and any NCAA Tournament contests will be featured on ESPN Radio.
The first broadcast of the season will be on Thursday night as the Dogs host Idaho State at 7 p.m.
