FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State Softball team opens their five-game home stand at Margie Wright Diamond with a doubleheader to take on No. 25 Grand Canyon for a midweek clash on Wednesday, April 8 with the first game at 12 p.m. and second game to follow at 2:30 p.m. with live coverage on the Mountain West Network.Â

MW Player of the WeekÂ
Rylee Bocchini was tabbed the Mountain West Player of the Week on Apr. 6, the first of her career. The Madera, Calif. is the first player to grab the recognition since 2024 (Bunker & Medellin) and is the second for the Bulldogs this season (Carranco, Pitcher).
The catcher led the Bulldogs to a 3-0 series sweep over San José State. Over the weekend logged a .600 batting average, .636 on-base percentage and slugged at a 1.100 clip across the three games.
While at the plate, collected four runs, six hits and drove in five RBI's. On the defensive end, tallied 14 putouts and one assist.

Against San Jose State, seven Bulldogs produced at least two RBI's. Rylee Bocchini and Alyssa Rebolledo led the series for the 'Dogs with five RBI's each, Emma Martinez trailed closely with four RBI's. Jerzie Liana, Natalie Elias, Jamie Hicks, Alyssa Ramirez each owned two RBI's over the weekend.
On the season, Jamie Hicks leads the team with 23 RBI's. In the Mountain West, Hicks is tenth in batting average .370.
Home Sweet Home
Fresno State will start their five game home homestand with Grand Canyon on Wednesday. The week closes with Colorado State on Saturday and Sunday. 'Dogs face off with Stanford in a midweek clash on Wednesday, April 15.
