Jodoin Awarded WAC Tennis Player of Week

FRESNO, Calif. - The Western Athletic Conference honored Fresno State's No. 79 Marianne Jodoin on Tuesday as the Verizon WAC Tennis Player of the Week for March 28 - April 3 to give Jodoin her second conference player of the week honor of her career.
Jodoin, freshman from Varennes, Quebec earned the nomination after leading the Bulldogs to a 6-1 WAC victory over Utah State and a close lost to No. 26 Pepperdine, 4-3. Jodoin went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles in the number one position. Jodoin is currently undefeated in conference competition for singles and doubles.
Jodoin has now won nine of her past 10 singles matches.
"Marianne is playing very well right now in the number one position," said head coach Simon Thibodeau. "She works very hard and it's paying dividends."
No. 71 Fresno State is currently 3-0 in WAC competition.
"We Are Your Team!"--No. 71 Fresno State travels north this weekend to take on No. Stanford on Friday and No. 7 California on Saturday.
