FRESNO, Calif. - With the Battle of the Bay game Saturday, not only do the players have a new look, now Bulldog fans do too with the Fu Manchu.
Former Bulldog defensive end, Kenny Borg (2007-2010), created the perfect gameday apparel with the face of the Valley on it. The Fu Manchu, the well-known mustache worn by head coach Pat Hill, is featured on the front of the promotional t-shirt made specifically for the season-opening game against Cal at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.
"As a former player I figured it was only right to have a Fu Manchu shirt to signify the start of the 2011 season," said Borg.
While Borg was an undergrad student-athlete pursuing his degree in entrepreneurship, he often spent time with the External Relations staff at Fresno State. After graduation he created his company DOG PRINTS, which is now located in the student union.
"We've worked with Kenny on projects in the past and we've been looking for a break through, huge Valley-wide success item...it's been created in the Fu Manchu," Senior Associate Athletics Director Paul Ladwig said.
Make sure you grab one of these shirts this weekend because there is a limited supply available and they will only be on sale while supplies last.
The shirts will be available for $20 at the following locations:
The Bulldog Shop
The Nikko Hotel (Downtown San Francisco)
Candlestick Park
