FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State head softball coach Margie Wright announced Tuesday that left-handed pitcher Kiley Shae Aldridge has been added to the 2012 roster.
Aldridge, a freshman, enrolled at Arizona in the fall of 2011, but transferred to Fresno State for the spring semester.
"Her addition is huge because she is a left-handed pitcher and anytime you can switch teams up like that in the middle of a game is a big advantage," Wright said.
Aldridge, out of Lompoc, Calif., was a four-time letterwinner at Cabrillo High School where she earned first-team all-league and all-area accolades as a senior. An all-around athlete who also played volleyball and basketball in high school, Aldridge threw a perfect game in 2008 and won player of the week honors in north Santa Barbara in both her junior and senior seasons.
She was a six-time scholar-athlete award winner and attended several prominent camps, the 2008 Adidas Future Camp and the 2008 OnDeck Top 64 West Coast Camp. Both her mother and her father are Fresno State alum.
"We Are Your Team" - The Fresno State softball team opens the season with 10-straight home games and plays 35 games at Bulldog Diamond this season. To get your tickets, please call the Fresno State ticket office at (559) 278-DOGS.
