COLUMBIA, S.C. - Georgia picked up its first loss of the season since Oct. 8, falling to Oklahoma State on Saturday, but the Bulldogs kept their lock on the top spot, receiving all but one first place vote in the latest coaches' poll.
Texas A&M moves up to second from third, as the Aggies are coming off a 12-11 loss at home to Baylor. Auburn falls to No. 3, as the Tigers went 1-1 at New Mexico State and have dropped three of their last four meets.
Oklahoma State is 7-4 and stays put at No. 4 as the Cowgirls are coming off a 13-10 win at home over No. 1 Georgia on Saturday, extending their winning streak to five meets.
With Baylor's victory over Texas A&M, the Bears take over the fifth spot, sending South Carolina down to No. 6, as the Gamecocks will close out their regular season this weekend at Delaware State.
New Mexico State moves up one spot to seventh after its upset victory over Auburn, and Kansas State slides back to No. 8, as the Wildcats have dropped two in a row.
Southern Methodist holds steady at No. 9, as the Mustangs' Hunt Seat team finished its regular season with a 7-3 loss at home to Georgia.
The collegiate coaches competing under the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's umbrella initiated the national poll. Fresno State earned its way back on the poll with a 9-7 win over New Mexico State on Saturday, as the Bulldogs are now ranked tenth.
