DENVER - Fresno State senior pitcher Cody Kendall was named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for May 14-20.
Kendall, a senior from Clovis, Calif. (Clovis East HS), pitched a seven-inning run-rule 12-2 victory over Louisiana Tech last week. Kendall came in the game to relieve injured starter Tyler Linehan, who faced only the lead-off batter of the game.
Kendall tossed seven strikeouts in 7.0 innings of work without walking a batter. He also allowed no earned runs.
