FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State football team will be unveiling special uniforms and helmets for select home games this year and is asking Bulldog fans to join in the excitement.
For the season opener against Rutgers on Aug. 29, the football team will be unveiling a unique white helmet, and wearing their full white uniform for the game. The Bulldog Shop will go on sale this summer with a special white t-shirt to commemorate the game. Fans are encouraged to turn Bulldog Stadium into a white wave.
While the Cal Poly game on Sept. 7 will feature tradition home uniforms, Fresno State will have some accented green wrist bands, socks and arm bands in a tribute to the San Joaquin Valley and it’s agricultural history in an Ag Night celebration.
Homecoming will be against UNLV on Oct. 19 and will feature a throwback retro helmet, including the old script Bulldogs logo. Fresno State is also launching a throwback collection of hats, t-shirts and other apparel at the Bulldog Shop this summer. Fresno State last wore the script Bulldogs on their helmets in 1996.
For the first time in school history, the Bulldogs will wear a full black uniform, including a black helmet for the game against Nevada on Nov. 2. These special uniforms and helmets will also be sold following the game. The Bulldog Shop will commemorate the game by selling a special black t-shirt along with special items this summer. Fans are encouraged to transform Bulldog Stadium into a black wave against the Wolf Pack. The Nevada game will also be band day, with high schools from around the valley performing at halftime and during the game.
To wrap up the season on senior night against New Mexico on Nov. 23, Fresno State will hold its annual spirit day and youth day. The Bulldogs will also be collecting toys for tots in a holiday tradition at Bulldog Stadium.
The special uniforms and helmets will be displayed this summer with a conjoined launch of products and apparel at the Bulldog Shop. Stay tuned for more promotional materials and exciting upcoming events.
