Davison Receives National Recognition for Nevada Performance

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State senior Tyeler Davison earned honorable mention Performer of the Week accolades from the College Football Performance Awards for the Bulldogs' game against Nevada on Nov. 22, the organization announced Monday.
Davison, a Scottsdale, Ariz. native, was one of five defensive linemen from across the Football Bowl Subdivision to be honored Monday morning. The senior nose guard led Fresno State in tackles with seven against the Wolf Pack, six solo, and recorded 1.5 tackles for loss. It is the second time this season that Davison led the team in tackles. Davison ranks No. 5 in the Mountain West for tackles made by a defensive lineman (50), and ranks No. 2 in the league in MW games only (41).
Additionally, he forced and recovered a fumble for the 'Dogs on the same play in the second quarter of their game at Nevada - the first time a Bulldog has done so since Oct. 26, 2013.
Davison, along with 19 other seniors, will be honored Saturday (Nov. 29) as Fresno State hosts Hawai'i in the teams' regular season finale. The Bulldogs can advance to the Sports Authority Mountain West Championship Game with a victory against the Warriors at Bulldog Stadium, kickoff is 4 p.m.
